Go with NAWAPA, Scrap Desertec! : GREEN FASISM

On Monday, the national French daily, Les Echos, published a lengthy article on Desertec, the Malthusian solar panel project in the Sahara launched by the Club of Rome, which is the direct anti-project against the NAWAPA perspective, and which has been exposed as "genocidal" by the LaRouche movement. Les Echos indicates, however, already in its kicker, that it "poses serious political questions. The evil mind behind this project is Gerhard Knies, of Switzerland, a member of the Club of Rome. He claims that since 90% of the global population lives less than 3,000 km from a desert area, building some 30 of these thermal solar "super plants" would supply enough power to supply mankind's current needs, using 20 square meters of desert per capita. Desertec expects to contribute 15% of the electrical power needed by the EU in 2050, and if it isn't enough, it proposes to add windmills and biofuels!

Some 17 industrial groups from Europe have already bought into the "production" aspect of Knies' idea, assembled for the purpose by insurance giant Munich Re, which was instrumental in organizing Desertec along with the German Association of the Club of Rome, among them predominantly German firms like ABB, Deutsche Bank, E.ON, Siemens, MAN Solar Millennium, RWE, and others; the electricity produced by Desertec is supposed to be transported over a grid from the desert to Europe by a French-led consortium group, which includes the French cable company, Nexans, and the country's leading power producer Electricité de France (EDF).

That project, proposed by a company called Transgreen, was recently adopted by the 43 members of the Union for the Mediterranean at their meeting in Cairo, who integrated it into its "Mediterranean solar design, which plans to provide 20 GW by 2020. But not even every solar panel producer is for the project: Solarworld, the number one in Germany, denounced the project as politically "dangerous," the generating plants are located in Muslim Arab and North Africa countries, that are as unstable as those from which oil is extracted.

NAWAPA: Why Obama Has To Go Now!

As Lyndon LaRouche emphasized in discussions on Sunday, the NAWAPA project is the only proper standpoint from which to understand why Obama has to be forced out of office immediately. There are all kinds of people who are calling for Obama's ouster, on the surface, for a combination of right and wrong reasons (Typical wrong reasons: "He's a Muslim." "He's a socialist." "He was born in Zanzibar."). They hate him for what he has done to accelerate the disintegration of our Republic. They also have a lot of crazy notions. But everyone who has taken the time to "take the Tour" has a totally different standpoint for understanding why LaRouche was scientifically precise in his Endgame forecast, and what the potentialities are with Obama out of the picture. Lyn launched the NAWAPA campaign on a thoroughly new principle, tied, in part, to the fact that the United States has already collapsed into a hopeless spiral of physical disintegration, and monetary Weimar hyperinflation. The crash is not coming. It already happened! And people are dying out there, every day.

When Larry Summers proclaimed Joseph Schumpeter as the greatest economist of the 21st century, he proudly and publicly revealed himself to be a rotten fascist. Schumpeter, the popularizer of the concept of "creative destruction," actually got the idea from outright fascists and Nazis, including Friedrich Nietzsche, Werner Sombart and Oswald Spengler. No surprise that Schumpeter was a close associate of the Abba Lerner whom Lyn pulverized in the famous Queens College debate in December 1971. Lerner fessed up to the fact that he was a die-hard Schachtian ("If they had listened to Schacht, they wouldn't have needed Hitler"). Larry Summers is one of the chief brainwashers of Nerobama. Creative destruction is good, the recovery is progressing, but some people will just lose out: This is the line coming from Summers' mouth to Obama's whatever.

In the real world, the level of unemployment is already beyond that of the Great Depression. Whole segments of the potential productive work-force have been statistically sentenced to death, written out of the labor force. Whether it is youth who have never been able to find a job, or 99ers, or the several million highly skilled engineers, scientists, machine tool designers, who have been sent off to pasture, the actual number of people out of work and out of hope is enormous.

A study out Monday shows that 4.85 million Americans are no longer able to live in their homes or apartments, and have moved in with relatives or non-family members, because they do not have enough money. These people are living, on average, just above the poverty level.

Now look at NAWAPA from that standpoint. The 3 million jobs that would be created in the first phase of NAWAPA are the highly skilled scientific, engineering, machine tool and very skilled construction jobs. This is a top-down cadre, with the experience and skills to do this project. With that top-down structure in place, how many more millions of less skilled and untrained workers, including youth desperate for a mission and some job skills, would be brought in?

Right now, Obama is the number-one obstacle to realizing this transformation of the United States. Get Obama safely out of office before the Autumn, and the United States can still survive. Delay it beyond that window, and the U.S. is doomed, and the rest of the world with it.

Implement Lyn's three-step recovery plan, starting with Obama's safe ouster, and we have not only a different United States. We have created a major shift potential in Russia, where the Bering Straits project and the development of Siberia can be realized. This will radiate into China, India, Southeast Asia, Africa, etc. LaRouche's America is, once again, the beacon of hope for a desperate planet. Let us not fall back on self-imposed limits. Japan Mobilizing Behind Major Nuclear Export Drive

The top members of Japanese industry and government have gone on a major mobilization to promote their nuclear export program, a reading of the Japanese press reveals. Simultaneously, the Japanese Trade Union Confederation has for the first time spelled out a policy in favor of "steadily promoting" construction of nuclear power plants.

According to Yomiuri Shimbun, a major Japanese daily, a delegation consisting of Japanese Trade Minister Masayuki Naoshima and the Chairman of the Board or President of the following companies; Tokyo Electric Chairman, Toshiba, Hitachi, Mitsubishi Heavy, Kansai Electric, Chubu Electric, and Japan Atomic Power Co. will be going to Vietnam Aug. 24 to push for a Japanese role in the Vietnamese nuclear program. Tokyo Electric and Toshiba together with other companies set up an office last month ahead of forming a joint nuclear export venture this autumn, tentatively to be named the International Nuclear Energy Development of Japan.

The even more influential Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun reflects the same drive, by publishing four articles on Japan's nuclear export prospects in its Aug. 21 edition. Not long ago, the same paper had taken a "green" outlook on virtually every issue.
