Goldman "Sucks" Charged with Fraud; LaRouche Asks: Is the Taxpayer Responsible To Bail Out Fraud?

April 17, 2010 (LPAC)—The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has finally decided to lift the veil from a tiny corner of the massive fraud at Goldman "Sucks," by charging the company with an $11 billion securities fraud against its own customers in 2007. Hedge fund bandit John Paulson had somehow figured out that the shakiest parts of the subprime market were about to take a dive, and went to Goldman to find some way to make money by betting that the mortgage-backed securities (MBS) based on them would collapse.

Goldman let Paulson pick a package of those MBS which he thought would tank the quickest, and then turned around and sold them to its own customers among "foreign banks, pension funds, insurance companies and other hedge funds." These investors were told that the securities they were buying had been selected by an "independent, objective third party," while actually John Paulson had chosen them as those most likely to fail the fastest, and was using Goldman to bet that they would fail. The suckers lost billions of the $10.9 billion they invested, and the money they lost was passed through to Paulson, after Goldman took its cut.

This is just the tiniest part of the fraud at Goldman which a "Pecora" style investigative commission, as LaRouche has demanded be established, would find, if it were let loose to find it. The same deal on which the SEC sued, also exposed Goldman's fraudulent use of credit-default swaps (CDS) to provide so-called "insurance" for such phony transactions. Goldman's biggest counterparty for such CDS, namely AIG, has been bailed out by the taxpayer to the tune of $189 billion; $13 billion of it was passed right through to Goldman, in what was Goldman's second bailout with taxpayer money.

This is a civil suit, but criminal charges will surely follow, and a lot else. "Is the taxpayer responsible to bail out fraud? Find out the criminal penalties for what they did. We should get the $186 billion back; shouldn't the fed get the money back?" LaRouche asks.

Tony Blair: War Is Peace

April 17, 2010 (LPAC)—Today, as he did just seven years ago, Britain's former Prime Minister Tony Blair used the "peacekeeping" functions of the UN Security Council and his control over the White House, to plunge the United States into an unnecessary war. Britain's Chilcot inquiry and other investigations have confirmed that George W. Bush's actions leading to his 2003 Iraq invasion were taken under the advice of Blair and his underlings, and particularly that the path to war through the UN Security Council was entirely dictated by the Blair government. Now, again, as he marches robot-like into a much more serious war, this time with Iran, Blair's puppet Obama is being instructed to misuse the UN Security Council to bring about a war.

Thus, Russian President Medvedev showed that he sensed that UN sanctions resolutions were actually being used to bring on a war, when he said at Brookings on April 13, "Many times I have asked these questions, what kind of sanctions we need. I do not favor paralyzing, crippling sanctions, make people suffer in a humanitarian sense. This is immoral and it creates negative results, negative feedback, and I have grounds to believe that some people need (want?) this. They are waiting for a real clash of positions, but sanctions must be intelligent."

In fact, the "sanctions" proposed at the United Nations by supposed U.S. Ambassador and actual British agent Susan Rice, which include license for any navy to forcibly board Iranian ships at sea, constitute in and of themselves an act of war.

When Blair spoke at the Chicago Council of Global Affairs on April 24, 2009, on the tenth anniversary of his "Doctrine of the International Community" speech at the same location, he called for a world military struggle against Iran modelled on the struggle against "communism." "The struggle faced by the world... is posed by an extreme and misguided form of Islam. And there are elements in the leadership of a major country, namely Iran, that can support and succor its practitioners.... [We must] expose, too, the delusion of believing that there is any alternative to waging this struggle to its conclusion. It is time to wrench ourselves out of a state of denial." This is a war which is "akin to fighting revolutionary communism.... We have to fight where we are being fought against.... Where we are called on to fight, we have to do it."

When Blair was called before Britain's Chilcot Inquiry on Jan. 29 of this year to defend the lies he used to launch the Iraq War, he told the hearing that the Iraq war had been necessary, even if there were no weapons of mass destruction, in order to prepare the world for the coming war with Iran. Rather than defend himself, he bragged of his crimes, and took every opportunity to preach war with Iran. And if anything had gone wrong in Iraq, he bore no responsibility—it was all due to Iranian interference.

Obama's so-called Nuclear Security Summit on April 12-13 was mainly an opportunity for Obama to personally knock the skulls of world leaders to try to force them into backing these UN "sanctions" leading to war. Immediately after Obama's meeting with Malysia's Prime Minister there, Malaysia announced that it had ceased shipping refined petroleum products to Iran in March!

After Obama's pressures and threats against him, Brazil's President Lula Inacio da Silva was appropriately hysterical about what he understood correctly as a drive to war. Prior to his bilateral meeting with China's President Hu Jintao on April 15 in Brasilia, Lula told the press that the Iraq war had been launched because of "weapons which society was induced to believe existed. I don't want this to be repeated with Iran." But the fact that the setting was a meeting of the BRIC helped keep the focus on Washington, and Lula didn't dare say that the Iraq lies had all originated with Tony Blair. It is very revealing of the lies Obama is retailing today, that the Brazil newspaper O Globo added that Lula planned to tell Hu that "the argument used by the White House, that Israel could lose patience and attack Iran, is groundless, since ... Israel would not attack without U.S. consent."

Schultz-Rohatyn Policy Is Demilitarizing the Military

April 16, 2010 (LPAC)—New reports by the Pentagon and the Congressional Research Service highlight the degree to which the fascist Schultz-Rohatyn policy of military privatization has taken over U.S. warfighting. In both Iraq and Afghanistan, contractor employees outnumber U.S. military personnel. There were 107,292 contractors (of whom almost 81,000 were Afghans) employed by U.S. Central Command in Afghanistan and 100,035 in Iraq, as of the end of the first quarter of 2010. This compares to about 78,000 U.S. troops in Afghanistan and 96,000 in Iraq. The bulk of these contractors, around 60 percent in Iraq, are doing basic logistical and support tasks, but, according to the DoD figures, there were also 9,431 armed security contractors in Iraq and another 13,717 in Afghanistan (all but about 500 were Afghans), as of Dec. 31, 2009.

The April 9 CRS report, which is really about policies regarding workers' compensation for Federal contractor employees, demonstrates that, in fact, these contractors are working in combat zones, and many have paid with their lives. Between September of 2001 and December 31, 2009, there were a total of 55,988 workers' compensation claims for contractor employees in Iraq and Afghanistan, including 1,987 deaths. Of the deaths, 1,459 were in Iraq and 289 were in Afghanistan. These figures should be added to U.S. military deaths, which, during the same period, were 4,248 in Iraq and 848 in Afghanistan, since the contractor work force is, indeed, part of the U.S. military deployment. In Afghanistan, 100 of the contractor deaths came in the last six months of 2009, reflecting the intensifying of the fighting there. About 40 percent of all workers' compensation cases in Iraq and Afghanistan were employees of Dick Cheney's KBR.

Lyndon LaRouche called this increasing reliance on contractors a policy of demilitarizing the military. It's a criminal operation, a disgusting operation to be deploying noncombatants in a combat zone. In a combat zone everybody should be carrying weapons. Everybody must be ready. The military is being destroyed by this policy. The less military you have, the more they destroy it.

British Draw U.S. Further into Afghanistan Trap

April 16, 2010 (LPAC)—In interviews on Wednesday, General Petraeus announced a major build-up for a Spring-Summer offensive by U.S. forces into Kandahar. However, the offensive has already begun, as was done previously in the case of Marja in Helmand province with the deployment of special-operations death squads to pave the way for the later deployment of larger forces.

According to the LA Times, the Pentagon has doubled anti-Taliban special forces deployed to hunt down Taliban leaders. These teams were used in eliminating mid-level Taliban leaders before the Feb. offensive in Marja. The forces have begun similar operations in nearby Kandahar province. The teams include the Army's Delta Force and the Navy's SEAL Team Six as well as troops temporarily assigned to the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC), such as Army Ranger units. The size of the military's JSOC is a highly classified secret. Special operations forces, including the JSOC teams, account for half or more of the missions being carried out by military forces in Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, the Guardian makes clear what the British intention is, that is to draw the U.S. into a quagmire in which it will be trapped long after Obama's 18-month deadline on ending the surge of the extra troops to Afghanistan.

The Guardian questions to focus on Kandahar, pointing out: "For the British to go there it might be to invite the nightmare of their entanglement in Basra to recur, only 10 times worse."

The article ends with the following conclusion: "The huge extensions to the runways and barracks at Camp Leatherneck in Helmand and at the Kandahar air base suggest that his [Obama's] commanders seem to know something he may not: that they are going to be in Afghanistan for many years to come."

Prince Charles Inspects His Mother's Poppy Fields in Helmand Afghanistan.

April 15, 2010 (LPAC)—On March 25-26, Prince Charles visited British troops in Afghanistan, becoming the most senior royal to visit British troops there. He received a briefing from Gen. Stanley McChrystal, U.S. commander [editor confused whether it is "British" or "U.S." commander] of all foreign troops in the country. The Guardian reported that "during a two-day visit amid tight security, he was flown by Chinook helicopter to Lashkar Gar, capital of Helmand province, where he met local leaders, the Governor Gulab Mangal, and British soldiers at a patrol base surrounded by opium poppy and wheat fields (emphasis added)."

It was not reported where Prince Charles met McChrystal, for example, in a poppy field, a heroin laboratory, or on a carpet, where the Prince was sitting cross-legged socializing with the local governor. Associated Press reported that "the 61-year-old heir to the British throne said troops can keep themselves busy in the field, but for the relatives left behind, it's 'ghastly.'" However, the Prince did not identify what the troops were keeping themselves busy with.

The AP shamelessly, but ironically, reports: "Britain has lost 276 troops since the war began in 2001. British soldiers have mainly been tasked with battling the Taliban in Helmand, the center of Afghanistan's illegal narcotics trade that has financed the militant group."

AP added that "Prince Charles crisscrossed Helmand by helicopter, flying over the canals, poppy fields, and mud compounds that make up much of the district. He met with local leaders in the provincial capital of Lashkar Gah, sitting crossed-legged on a cushion as he talked about the situation in Helmand."

It further revealed the setting where the British troops are keeping themselves busy: "At Patrol Base Pimon, nestled among the blooming pink poppy fields of Nad Ali, he met some of the 140 British troops holding the front line and was told by commanding officer Maj. Ian Lindsay-German: 'It's a lot more quiet out there now, but it hasn't been cleared fully' of insurgents."

However, clearing the fields of opium poppy is not on the agenda.

With this visit, the British are probably making it clear that Helmand might become the capital of what would be left of Afghanistan, when the catastrophic Obama Administration policy comes to a crushing defeat, and Kabul is abandoned to its fate in a sectarian and ethnically divided Afghanistan. Therefore, Helmand Province is of more interest for the British to keep quiet and "economically thriving" with the help of such American dupes as President Obama and General McChrystal. Helmand, whose Governor Mangal is being groomed by the British royals as a great tribal leader (as the British royals are themselves, oligarchical tribe leaders), is being portrayed as the stable and well-governed region of Afghanistan, unlike the "corrupt" President Karzai's Kabul.

Will We Let the British Launch Us into a New Dark Age?

April 15, 2010 (LPAC)-- British puppet Barack Obama has signalled by his behavior at the so-called Nuclear Security Summit just exactly what the next program is which his controllers have set out for him: the early launching of a war against Iran. It is our obligation to blow this game—in the course of getting this guy out of office fast.

The President's aggressive intent against Iran is absolutely clear. Following on the Nuclear Posture Review, which singled out Iran and North Korea as nations which the U.S. would not exclude hitting with nuclear weapons, Obama staged the huge Washington extravaganza which had only one real purpose, beyond buoying his ego. There was no need for such a confab in order to agree that terrorists shouldn't get nuclear weapons material. Its purpose was for the President to twist arms, and build a p.r. platform, for a hit against Iran.

It is unlikely that the U.S. would hit Iran directly; that task would rather be left to British puppet Israel. But it is clear that the groundwork is being prepared, and Obama has taken an aggressive stance, threatening "consequences," and demanding "results" within as little as two weeks. We're not dealing with a long-term prospect here, but a hair-trigger situation.

Don't try to figure out some "scenario" the British are trying to accomplish here. The reality is that the British, faced with the collapse of their global financial system, are going for perpetual, permanent chaos. The relevant historical period of reference is Venice, prior to its provocation of the 14th Century Dark Age. Triggering such a collapse is a relevant way for them to destroy not only Iran, but the United States, as the crucial element of a global Four Power alliance to put their system into the grave.

The British intent is transparent in their new opium war strategy, fully active in the Afghan theater, and elsewhere. Illegal drugs are being spread around at such cheap prices that it is obvious that the intended effect is menticide and social chaos on a grand scale. A dark age culture.

Why such extremes? Because a general breakdown crisis of the world financial system is in the wind. The whole process which has dominated the world since July 2007 has been one piece of folly. LaRouche's program could have prevented disaster, but the bunch of incompetents who are running the financial system, and governments, now will never solve any of the problems they're faced with. Under them, a general breakdown is inevitable.

LaRouche's policies could still save the United States, and thus create the conditions for a Four Power alliance to destroy the British empire. That would mean the entire policy would have to be changed. But if LaRouche's policies are not adopted, the U.S. is a gone bunny.

In fact, it's probably the case that under Obama, the U.S. cannot be saved. This British puppet is prepared to not only preside over the burial of the U.S. economy, but to trigger a global disaster through the early launching (or support thereof) of war against Iran. Apollo Astronauts: Obama Space Plan Will Put the U.S. "on a long downhill slide to mediocrity"

April 14, 2010 (LPAC)—In an open letter, obtained by long-time space reporter Jay Barbree, and first reported on the NBC Nightly News Tuesday evening, three of the Apollo astronauts who embody the dedication, no-nonesense attitude, and commitment that brought this nation to the Moon, attacked President Obama's proposal to kill NASA's Constellation program. Neil Armstrong, Commander of Apollo 11, which landed the first astronauts on the Moon; James Lovell, the Commander of the near-fatal Apollo 13 mission (NASA's "finest hour"); and Gene Cernan, Commander of Apollo 17, and the last man to set foot upon the Moon, described the cancellation as "devastating."

Reprising the history of the American space program, the three former astronauts state: "World leadership in space was not achieved easily. In the first half-century of the space age, our country made a significant financial investment, thousands of Americans dedicated themselves to the effort, and some gave their lives to achieve the dream of a nation." No program in modern history, they state, "has been so effective in motivating the young to do 'what has never been done before.'"

Nor was the development and design of the Constellation program haphazard or ill-conceived, they state. "The Ares rocket family was patterned after the [Wernher] von Braun Modular concept so essential to the success of the Saturn 1B and the Saturn V" rockets, which took them to the Moon. Although we will have "wasted our current $10-plus billion investment in Constellation," equally important, "we will have lost the many years required to recreate the equivalent of what we will have destroyed." This, for a second time, following the cancellation of the follow-on missions to Apollo, to live on the Moon.

The timing of this letter is no accident. On Thursday, President Obama makes a whirlwind stop in Florida, at the Kennedy Space Center, to try to sell this destruction of manned space flight. Three days ago, more than 4,000 people rallied nearby in protest, to tell the President what they think of his plan. There has been virtually NO support anywhere for this "outsourcing" of NASA. Out of 435 Representatives and 100 Senators, ONE has backed the President. And he will see, again, the outrage of the American people.

April 13, 2010 (LPAC)-- Yes, Mabel, the Queen of England does push dope. Anyone who seeks to deny this now, is worse than a Nazi-like liar. Worse, her government is presently engaged in the greatest attempt at mass-murder, planet-wide, in world history to date. In her regime's effort to bring about the great, world-wide genocide advocated by the World Wildlife Fund of her husband, the Duke of Edinburgh, her minions have also attempted to destroy the most prominent force against genocide operating world-wide today, the Catholic Church.

Worst of all, she is using her dupe, the Nero-like, would-be, Hitler-like mass-murderer President Barack Obama, in the effort to accomplish those Hitler-copied objectives.

We wish to say next to nothing here about British sex practices such as those associated with types such as the late John Maynard Keynes, et al.. We stick to the issue of her government's resort to the combined practices of genocide and drug-pushing. The methods for promoting the destruction of civilization through opium production in Afghanistan is now McChrystal-clear.

One of the leading features of the practices of the drug-pushing British monarchy, is the British effort to destroy the Catholic Church, world-wide, in an attempt to eliminate that Papacy which continues to be the chief opponent of British-orchestrated campaigns of genocide throughout the world at large, as the British Empire has done in Africa for about two centuries.

We are not certain that certain oddities of the behavior among the Yahoos of the British Isles are to be class as being exactly sexual behavior; fecundity does not appear to be a purpose in that practice among the figures deployed on the playing fields of Eton. The purpose of preying upon minors as a form of genital play among the clergy and others, has long thought to have been a mark of British upper-class breeding, as much as anything else. Apparently, the British clergy have enjoyed no monopoly on the specific form of amusements.

To anyone possessed of an active adult mind should recognize immediately, the British monarchy's efforts to destroy the Catholic Church, is intended to wipe out the world's traditionally leading adversary of the practice of genocide among governments.

In the meantime, the very strong suggestion in the atmosphere today, is that now that the Nero-like President Barack Obama has virtually used up his usefulness to his British master, points to the intention, from among their quarters, to bring about that President's assassination as a means for unleashing a dictatorship in a U.S. now threatened with a London-inspired assassination of the unfortunate, used- up tool Obama.
